From the vineyards on Montalcino’s eastern slope comes a full-bodied, well-structured, and enveloping Brunello.
Fermentation takes place in large open oak barrels for 20-25 days. The first 80% of the fermentation is realized with open pumping overs, while the remaining 20% takes place in Piedmontese style (infusion). The wine ages in the same big oak barrels for 24-30 months, it is then moved for a minimum of 12 months in concrete tanks and 12 months in the bottle.
This wine, with a bright ruby red color, is full body and compact, endowed with a pleasant minerality, which is the result of cultivation on white marl soils typical of the southeast side of Montalcino from which the grapes come. The nose releases aromas ranging from the intense scent of blood orange to fresh Mediterranean herbs. Each sip is rich and dynamic and tells the story of a wine that over time will reveal its intriguing personality.
